The sacrament of baptism washes away your sins,<\/strong>makes you a child of God and a member of the Church.<\/strong>In baptism, the baptized person receives a name and a patron saint. 1. Announcing a Baptism<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Baptisms are at St. Stephen's Basilica on Sundays at 11:00. The baptismal date must be agreed in\nadvance by phone, email or in person. The date of baptism shall be registered after the child's birth\ncertificate and the completed and signed baptismal note (in person or by email). 2. Godparent<\/strong><\/h5>

It is the responsibility of the godparent to help the baptized child to progress in the Christian life. A\nchild may have a godparent or a godmother and godfather. The godparent turned 16, Catholic,\nconfirmed, already made his\/her first sacrifice, so he\/sh is practicing his\/her faith. Do not be the\nfather or mother of be baptized. 3. Baptism education<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The purpose of the meeting is to get to know the child's parents and godparents, talk about baptism\nand discuss any issues before the ceremony. If it is possible, we would like all four of you to attend the\nmeeting. The time of instruction is on a Sunday of your choice before the baptism, which you must\nsign up by phone or email.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

To the baptism education can you come in through the entrance to Bajcsy-Zsilinszky Road of St. Stephen's Basilica at 11:15. For baptism, you must arrive at St. Stephen's Basilica 15\nminutes before 11:00. Please do not disturb the end of the 10:00 mass and please dress\nappropriately for church. Parents can sit in the first row with the child. Behind the parents\nshould be the godparents and other relatives behind them.
