Concert Venue and Seat Capacity<\/strong><\/h5>

The concert venue is the main churchall of the Basilica. There is no heating in the church, which means that neither the pews nor the sanctuary are heated, which can cause difficulties, especially in January, February and March.\u00a0<\/p>

Earliest possible start of the concert during the day: <\/b>10:00
Latest possible start of the concert during the day: <\/b>16:00
Earliest concert start in the evening:<\/b> 20:00
The Basilica is open to tourists from 9:00 to 17:40. If a concert and\/or rehearsal takes place during this time, tourists stay inside the church. The free movement of performers will be cordoned off.\u00a0<\/p>

Inside the Basilica every day Holy Masses are celebrated\nbetween 18:00 and 19:00. The space of the Church must be replaced in an adequate\ncondition for the Holy Mass by 17:30 the latest. After the Holy Mass we can provide the\nspace at the disposal of the concert to complete the necessary preparations by 19:00 the earliest.\u00a0<\/p>

Maximum seat capacity:<\/b> 800 persons
Seat capacity in pews and chairs:<\/b> 540 persons
Extra seats: <\/b>260 persons
The number of seats shall be taken into account when inviting and registering guests. Wishing to invite more than 530 people to the concert, must be used the extra seats. Standing place is not available due to escape routes and safety regulations. Seats are not numbered, sectors can only be allocated. The Lessee is responsible for marking them. Please note that due to disaster management regulations, no more than 800 people will be admitted to the concert. There is no possibility for standing places<\/b> because of escape routes and other\nsecurity measures. The seats are not numbered, only different sectors can be formed. Repertoire<\/b><\/span><\/h5>

The repertoire of the concert is always has to be approved by the Music Committee of St. Stephen's Basilica (hereinafter the Committee). This is a condition for holding a concert in the Basilica. Please note that the Basilica is a sacred place and not all themes and musical styles are appropriate for it. \nIn principle, we expect sacred works appropriate to the place, mainly classical, which texts do not contradict the teaching of the Catholic Church. The decision on the repertoire will be made unilaterally by the Committee on the basis of its own sacred music criteria. The final program will be approved via email. In certain cases, the texts and notes of the pieces may be requested.\u00a0<\/span>In certain cases the lyrics of the songs and the music sheets can be supervised as well.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Entrance<\/strong><\/h5>
For entry of the guest, artists and staff, delivery of the large instruments and technical equipments can be used different entrances.\u00a0The Organizer must secure the\nsupervision of every entrances where deliveries and admittance in connection with the\nconcert take place in order to avoid tourists or unauthorized persons from entering.\u00a0<\/span>It is advisable to have 2-4 staff members of the Organizer to help the guests finding their seats.<\/span><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Admission of guests to concerts held during the day (9:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.)<\/strong><\/p>\n

During the concert and the rehearsal the tourists are in the church hall. 
Admission 1. option: entranc through the main entrance with church hall ticket. 
<\/b><\/span>Through the main entrance of the Basilica it is not possible to enter the guests for the concert free of charge, entry ticket to the Basilica is obligated. The guests of the concert are not separated from the tourists, there are no reserved seats. It is a common experience that tourists do not listen to the whole concert, they get up after a few pieces and move on. During the concert, there is constant movement in the church area. Admission 2. option: Entrance through the Mary\u2019s Chapel fre of charge<\/b> <\/span><\/div>\n
If the Organizer prefers the free admission of the concert, entrance will be from\nMary\u2019s Chapel which is a different acces to the Church. In this case Organizer has to register\nthe guests in advance and he is responsible that only those enter who are registered. The seats for the guests will be separated by cordons from the tourists. The organizer has to provide staff for the entrance and the church hall. <\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Admission to the evening Concerts <\/strong><\/p>

Earliest start of concerts:<\/b> 20:00<\/div>
In case of evening concerts the Lessee (Organizer) must be aware that every day between\n18:00 and 19:00 Holy Mass is held in the Basilica.<\/b>On holidays the mass can take longer. Besides the eventuell Saund- and Stage Facilities<\/b>must be removed or dismented to a degree\nwhere the Holy Mass will be not disturbed.<\/b>The degree of the removal will be determined by\nthe technical staff of the Basilica during the technical inspection on the spot. Admission of the guests<\/b> is through the main Entrance from both sides if necessary. VIP admission is possible through another door.<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Sound Effects<\/strong><\/h5>

The Basilica's sound system is primarily designed for speech, Holy Mass and other liturgical events. If the choir and\/or orchestra require for the choir and\/or orchestra during a concert, the organizer shall be responsible for providing it.<\/b> to install the necessary devices. a Technical spectionon the spot before the concert.<\/b>It is possible to use the sound system of the Basilica if necessary.
<\/span>In the church hall of the Basilica <\/span>the echo is 6 second<\/b><\/span>.
<\/span>In case of evening concerts the Organizer must be aware <\/span>that possibility the technical installation must be removed or dismantled to a certain degree,<\/b><\/span>so as not to disturbe the Mass. The degree of the removal will be decided by a staff member of th Basilica during a Technical Inspection before the concert.

Projector System<\/strong><\/h5>
In the Basilica Diapro projector system is functioning. The projected text should be sent by the Organizer in Microsoft Word formula. In case of lyrics the verses, refrains etc. must be\nmarked so that the slides could be identified accordingly. The pictures should be sent in JPG\nor PNG formula. The received material will be installed by the staff of the Basilica. Sale of tickets and advertisment<\/strong><\/h5>
The Basilica does not sell concert tickets and does not organize audiences in the classical sense. If the organizer sends the poster via email, we will post it on the bulletin board at the main entrance of the Basilica, on our website, Facebook page, and at the Ticket Office, and, if requested, we can advertise the concert among tourist offices. The prior written consent of the Basilica Cultural Staff is required for any recording or\nbroadcasting of the concert whether by video, radio, television, film or any other\nrecordingmethod. By returning the completed chart \u2013 that you can find blow \u2013 it is necessary\nto have the written approval of the cultural staff. The completed recordings must be sent by Organizer to the Basilica staff who will approve them. Only after written approval the media\nmaterials can be published. In connection with the concert in all cases contract must be signed. The Basilica can\nundertake exclusivly lease contracts.
