\n\nThe organ was made in 1905 by the master organ builder J\u00f3zsef Angster. The\n65-register instrument originally had three keyboards and pedals, a six-rank free\ncombination, pneumatic control and a case chest. In 1932 it was converted to\nfour manuals and the number of variants were increased. The next conversion\nwas carried out in 1937 by the Rieger Organ Factory, with the organ then having\n79 variants. The most recent conversion work began in 1992 and was completed\nin 2004. The instrument got a computer-controlled movable console, an electric\ntract, and its windchests have been renovated with a conical reed system. The\nworks were carried out by the Budapest organ-building firm V\u00e1radi and Sons.\nThe organ currently has 93 stops and 1,152 free combinations. A special feature\nis the trumpet choir that projects horizontally from the fa\u00e7ade. The original\norgan had 9 reed-stops, now there are 22. The organ has 7,544 pipes; the longest\npipe is 10.5 m long, and the smallest is 5 mm. The organ is supplied with air by\n3 powerful electric fans. The organ cabinet was designed by J\u00f3zsef Kauser and\nmade in the Endre Th\u00e9k furniture factory.
