The painting is unique in that, wherever you\nview it from, Jesus' knees are always facing you. The statue of St. Francis of\nAssisi, a gift from Emperor Franz Joseph I, is on the left. On the right, is a statue\nof St. Alexis of Gonzaga, donated by the congregation. Both statues are the\nwork of Alajos Str\u00f3bl.
