The sacrament of baptism washes away your sins,makes you a child of God and a member of the Church.In baptism, the baptized person receives a name and a patron saint. Other sacraments can only be taken after baptism.
1. Announcing a Baptism
Baptisms are at St. Stephen's Basilica on Sundays at 11 a.m. The baptismal date must be agreed in advance by phone, email or in person. The date of baptism shall be registered after the child's birth certificate and the completed and signed baptismal note (in person or by email). 2. Godparent
It is the responsibility of the godparent to help the baptized child to progress in the Christian life. A
child may have a godparent or a godmother and godfather. The godparent turned 16, Catholic,

father or mother of be baptized. If these conditions are not met, they will be registered as a
baptismal witness in the Parish Office.

3. Baptism education
The purpose of the meeting is to get to know the child's parents and godparents, talk about baptism and discuss any issues before the ceremony. If it's possible, we'd like all four of you to attend the meeting. The time of instruction is on a Sunday of your choice before the baptism, which you must sign up by phone or email.

To the baptism education can you come in through the entrance to Bajcsy Zsilinszky Road of St. Stephen's Basilica at 11:15. For baptism, you must arrive at St. Stephen's Basilica 15 minutes before 11:00. Please do not disturb the end of the 10 o'clock mass and please dress appropriately for church.
